A Few Days In Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

In August 2004, the Dixie Echoes were heading back to Tennessee from the state of Maine and had a few days to rest in Pigeon Forge, TN. We sang in Pigeon Forge at the Gospel Music Television World Premiere Concert on Wednesday the 25th, but on the 23rd and 24th, we spent walking the streets of town and enjoyed seeing spending time with some friends.

On Monday night, some of the Dixie Echoes went to see the Integrity Quartet. Our bus was parked about a mile from the Louise Mandrell Theatre in which they perform. From L-R: David Sutton, Scoot Shelnut, Eric Bennett, Billy Todd, Jeff Stice, Stewart Varnado, and David Robinson.

When the concert was over, an usher tapped me on the shoulder and told us that Louise would like to meet me and Billy Todd backstage. We enjoyed visiting with Louise Mandrell. She put on an excellent show. If you are ever in the Pigeon Forge, TN, area, be sure to go see it, along with the Integrity Quartet. Then drop by Dollywood to see the Southern Gospel Music Hall Of Fame and Museum, and hear more great quartet music by the Kingdom Heirs!

I just had to have a picture of the two of us. Sorry Billy, the one above was enough for you!
