October 2005 Photos

On Friday, October 14, 2005, I visited our nation's
capitol. Our bass singer, Tracy Crouch, joined me in walking throughout the
National Mall. For a complete set of photos from our trip, visit the Dixie

In front of the Lincoln Memorial.

At the foot of Abraham Lincoln's statue inside the Lincoln Memorial.

Standing at one end of the National Mall. Directly behind,
you can see the Washington Monument. To the left is the
Smithsonian Castle.

Backstage at the Suwannee River Jubilee, I decided to
retire my 'outdoor' dress shoes. I have used this pair of shoes for several
years, especially at outdoor concerts such as the Suwannee River Jubilee,
Bonifay and Waycross All Night Singings, and many more. It is hard to tell
from this photo, but the right shoe shown above had three holes in the bottom,
and the sole was nearly separated from the rest of the shoe. I decided to
nail the shoe to the wall backstage at the SRJ. I doubt that it will be there
when we go back in June. Most likely somebody will take it down and auction
it on ebay! ha!
