On February 4, 2004, in Auburndale, Florida, the New Five Broke Single Boys
took the stage to perform to a packed auditorium of Southern Gospel Fans.
Filling the tenor position for the last official "FBSB" concert was Eric
Phillips of the Mark Trammell Trio. Shown above from L-R: Josh Garner, Scoot
Shelnut, Eric Phillips, Stewart Varnado, and Gene McDonald.
Here they are on stage. There was a standing room only crowd, folks even
sat on the stage just to get a seat. If you still haven't purchased your

Sonya Isaacs and Stewart Varnado visiting in the lobby at Bill Bailey's Gospel
Music Convention in Auburndale. Sonya will be playing the mandolin on Stewart's
newest recording titled "The Southern Gospel Players" to be released around
the first part of June 2004.
On January 17, the Dixie Echoes performed in Lakeland, FL. In the audience
that night was former Oak Ridge Boys pianist Tommy Fairchild. This was Stewart's
first time to meet the legendary pianist, and someone just happened to have
a camera handy to capture the occasion.

The Dixie Echoes sang in Baton Rouge, LA on January 24, 2004 at Stevendale
Baptist Church. This picture was taken that night then given as a gift to
Stewart on March 6, at his concert in Franklinton. Shown are Stewart Varnado
and his cousin Mallory Grace. At Stewart's concert in Franklinton, she tore
the ticket stubs for fans as they entered the concert. She is always on the
front row when Stewart is on stage. Isn't she a doll? |
