Grand Ole Gospel Reunion 2003
August 9, 2003 - Greenville, South Carolina

The Dixie Echoes on stage performing with just 2 microphones and a piano.

Stewart's cheering them on!

Later in the night, Charlie Waller introduced the Grand Ole Gospel Reunions' FIVE BLIND BOYS (notice that Stewart is about 2 feet away from the drum that he's suppose to be playing)

From L-R: Jonathon Sawrie, Mike Franklin, Stewart Varnado, Buddy Burton, & Gene McDonald

Singing their hit "Feed Me Jesus, Feed Me". With Stewart on lead and playing the snare with brushes.

The Five Blind Boys seemed to be an instant hit at the GOGR.  Be sure to get the video of this years Grand Ole Gospel Reunion, so you can see just what all happened when these guys took the stage.

From being led onto the stage and put in place, to bowing to the back wall...knocking over mics and running into each other...to Stewart falling off the front of the stage.  You should have been there to catch this hilarious episode!

Randy Shelnut Jr., Bill Shaw (former tenor singer for the Blackwood Brothers), & Stewart Varnado

Later that night, after the "Breakfast with the Stars", groups casually took the stage and performed a number for the late night audience.

The Grand Ole Gospel Reunion is held every year in Greenville, South Carolina, and is where the Legends all come together to perform. Charlie Waller, the promoter, puts the event on video each year.  For info on the video or information on next years concert, visit: www.grandolegospelreunion.com
